Lindsey and Ty unfortunately scheduled their engagement session on one of the hottest days of the summer…but it sure doesn’t look like it! We met in Springfield at the Horace Mann Building which is a gorgeous spot for pictures! Not only do they have the all white overhang area with big white columns, they also have a park like area surrounding the building! The very first pose I even did with them, they immediately starting giggling and laughing at each other and I knew they were going to be fun to photograph!
After we were done at the Horace Mann Building, we started walking toward the Old Capital which was were I was going to do the other half of the session. After walking almost completely around the whole building, we realized there was a street festival going on and it was all blocked off since you had to pay to get in! So I asked if we could just sneak through so we didn’t have to walk all the way back around the building. Ty suggested the train depot that was just around the corner so we headed there! It turned out to be a great spot with lots of cool elements!
On the way back to our cars, we went back to another spot on the Horace Mann property that had a bridge and pond and this is where we took some of my favorites from the session! The lighting was gorgeous!
These two’s wedding day is quickly approaching! I can’t wait to shoot their Springfield wedding in the fall!
