They say rain on your wedding day is good luck…so Amy & Madison should have good luck forever! Although the rain may have put a damper on their outdoor ceremony at Ravina on the Lakes in Peoria…it didn’t put a damper on the love you can feel that these two have for each other!
When some couples, I can tell them one way to stand, and they completely take it from there and that is Amy & Madison! Although I will take a little tiny credit that I think they remembered some things from their engagement session! And Miss Bailey even made an appearance at their wedding! If you don’t remember, Bailey is their adorable black pup! When she saw Madison walking down the aisle, her whole backside started to wiggle. And while Amy was saying her vows to Madison, Bailey very sneakily army crawled her way in between the two of them. It was adorable to say the least!
Amy & Madison met at a speed dating event at Bradly University in Peoria when they were freshman. He didn’t get a chance to give her his number, so he wrote it on her board outside her dorm room. She texted him and the rest is history! You can tell that Madison is so very in love with Amy and vice versa. They are a couple that you don’t even have to know them very well and can tell that they were made for each other!
I know Amy was very worried that she wasn’t going to get the outside pictures that she wanted to badly, but as the ceremony was just starting, the rain stopped. So after, we did family formals outside and then bride and groom pictures!
Ravina at the Lakes was a gorgeous venue! The land has a lake with a fountain, and also a huge field of tall grass (my personal photographer dream!) The inside of their reception hall was gorgeous and so bright and airy (also the thing my photography dreams are made of!) The aqua was just the right amount of color to compliment the bright overall feel! Her mom’s friend had made homemade mints in aqua and white that were so good! I made mints for my own wedding from my mom’s recipe, so it reminded me of my day!
Thank you Amy & Madison for letting me be a part of your big day!! And I hope you are having the time of your life right now in Jamaica!!!
