How to Prepare for Your Wedding Pictures

On your wedding day, you are the center of attention! Your dress, your hair, your smile—everyone will be looking at you. Do your best to relax

Stress will show in your body language and in your face, so take a deep breath and relax. Remind yourself that everyone is there for you because they love you and are so happy for you! That should be enough to make anyone have a big smile!

If you chose a photographer you’re comfortable with, you should have no worries. They’ll know how to make you laugh and smile and forget about the camera.

Get in some snuggle time

You and your soon-to-be-spouse may be holding hands and kissing wherever you go, or you may not be big on PDA. Either way, you’ll probably want some of those amazing bride and groom images where you’re happily holding each close. Like most photos, these images come out so much better when they’re natural instead of posed. If you’re not a big snuggler, spend more time cuddling up to your fiancé to help you both find romantic poses that are comfortable for you. And, as an added bonus, snuggling is a great way to relieve any wedding-related stress!  If you are still nervous, check out this 5 tips for posing with your sweetie.

Scope out your venue

In between the hustle and bustle of setting up for the big day, try to take some time to walk through the venue, paying special attention to any spots that would make great backdrops for your photos. Maybe it’s a colorful garden or even just a cool brick wall. Take note of these spots for your wedding photos!

Let go and enjoy the moment

You’ve probably heard it said that your wedding day will pass by in a blur, and that’s true! After months of planning, the day will be over, and all you’ll have left to remember it is your photos.

That’s why it’s a great idea to find time for you and your new spouse to get away from the noise and partying and just appreciate the moment. And don’t forget to invite your photographer to come along and capture some gorgeous intimate portraits of the two of you!

Be open with your photographer

Remember those spots you found at the venue? Tell your photographer you want photos there, and if there are certain shots you’re eager to have, let them know! Their job is to capture your wedding, so you have memories to hold on to for the rest of your life.
