Hannah and Matts June wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. No rain, the temperature was in the 70’s and just slightly overcast. Oh wait, did I say no rain….because we did have to hide under some tree’s for about 30 seconds while a tiny shower passed over us!
The day started by myself meeting Hannah and her girls at the Decatur Conference Center. I always start out my wedding days by photographing details first! Details are one of my favorite parts of weddings! I remember how much time I spent into details and I want to be sure to capture that for my brides! Hannah’s color scheme is probably one of my favorites! Blush and a baby blue. Make’s my light and airy heart sing! I absolutely loved her invitations! And the special request a song at the bottom was a really cool idea! Her bouquet was also nothing short of gorgeous!!
After the details, the guys were up next! We went out front in some grassy tree area which made for a perfect backdrop for some bridal party portraits! Since Matt and Hannah didn’t do a first look, we hid the guys away and then it was time for the girls to come out!
Matt’s daughter Isabella told me that her daddy was going to cry when he saw Hannah walking down the aisle….and she was right! I had told Matt what she said, and he agreed that he would cry seeing Hannah. I don’t think its any big secret that I love emotion…so if you are crying or laughing, my camera will be documenting! I always have to hold back tears myself when I see someone else crying, although Isabella got both me and my second photographer at the end of the ceremony when she was just sobbing happy tears!
After the ceremony and family formals, it was time for Matt and Hannah’s just married pictures! The other favorite part of my day! If you remember from when I blogged their engagement session, I knew that Matt was going to be an easy guy to photograph. He didn’t need brought out of his shell at all! You can just feel how much he loves Hannah. He would do what we were going to ask him to do before we even asked! Although, he is lucky he didn’t get smacked for faking Hannah, and us photographers, out twice with a snake scare! (Which is extra not funny now since we found a 4 foot snake in our garage recently!)
I think it’s safe to say, everyone was ready to get inside and get some food! After the bridal party and Matt and Hannah were introduced, they went straight to the cake cutting. As you can see from the pictures, it went well. Matt shoved cake so hard it went up Hannah’s nose! Reminded me of my wedding, when I surprised smashed cake in Joe’s face. He did not find it funny, and still doesn’t to this day 🤷🏼♀️.
Thank you so much Matt and Hannah for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
